Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament Cancelled
July 3, 2025
As our Annual BCF Golf Tournament and Dinner did not achieve the level of support needed for the event to be viable it has been cancelled. This event was being organized to raise funds in support of our BCF Scholarships Program, the SickKids Caribbean Initiative and Camp Jumoke and its cancellation is disappointing.
Scholarships applications closed on June 20th and we received a record number of 41 applications this year. We are excited to assist as many students as possible and in the absence of the golf tournament, we are making this special appeal to you for a donation to our scholarship program. You may donate through CanadaHelps.org, by Interac e-Transfer to Barbados Canada Foundation at [email protected] (please state your mailing address in the memo section of the e-Transfer to facilitate issuance of your tax receipt), or by mailing us a cheque together with your pledge form.
We look forward to your support.

Speech by Dr. Kenneth Connell the Highlight of Bring On The Spring 2025
April 27, 2025
Regarded as a dynamic speaker, Dr, Connell lived up to this billing and delivered an illuminating speech that was appreciated by the audience, many of whom thanked us for having him as the Guest Speaker. Organized to raise funds for the donation of 20 hospital beds to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Bring On The Spring 2025 provided guests with a delectable dinner and sensational entertainment by singer Jay Harmony, however attendance did not meet expectations, and regrettably, we fell short of our goal.
Alike many small charities, BCF is experiencing declining donation revenue at a time when the needs of our causes are increasing. We are accepting applications from Barbadian students attending college and university in Canada and to respond to the demand for scholarships and maintain operations we wish to raise $25,000 by August 1st. We look forward to your support.

Visiting Barbados? Here is Where We Recommend That You Stay.
April 27, 2025
The Barbados resort hotels pictured below have donated to the Live and Silent Auctions and Raffle at Bring On The Spring for several years, making a significant contribution to the event’s success. These hotels donated 5–7-night stays to Bring On the Spring 2025 and are truly valuable partners with BCF in our donation of life-saving equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
We express our most sincere appreciation of their support, ask that you stay at one of these hotels when next you travel to Barbados, and that you encourage family, friends and acquaintances to join you in supporting them. Click on each hotel's picture to link to its website. For air travel we recommend Marville Travel Ltd, a valued supporter of Barbados Canada Foundation and Bring On The Spring.
