The Annual General Meeting was held in conjunction with the Scholarships Awards Celebration at which eleven (11) students were awarded scholarships of $4,000 each. Bring On The Spring: Raising Funds In Support of The QEH
October 14, 2024
In 2018 we committed to assist the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados consistent with its plans to enhance patient care by keeping abreast of medical technology and replacing obsolete equipment and equipment nearing end of life, to avoid a major disruption of services. In addition, the QEH continues to need critical care equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, vital signs monitors, ECG machines and surgical equipment including anaesthetic machines, surgical tables and surgical microscopes.
Bring On The Spring is a fundraising dinner which provides us with the funds needed to purchase and donate the equipment selected by the hospital’s management from its priority needs list. It has been organized successfully over the last six years and to date we have donated equipment costing a total of CAD$218,200 to the QEH.
This year we purchased 3 Patient Transport Monitors at a cost of CAD$65,000 for donation to the QEH. The Transport Monitors were recently delivered to the hospital and will be officially donated later this month.
For 2025 the QEH has requested our assistance by the donation of 20 hospital beds and Bring On The Spring 2025 is being organized to raise CAD$76,000 to allow us to purchase and donate these beds. Save the Date of Saturday, April 12th and support Bring On The Spring 2025 in aid of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbadians and others who rely on its services.
